About Maintainers III: Practice, Policy and Care
Maintainers III is the third in a series of conferences that celebrates and unpacks the concepts of maintenance, infrastructure, repair, and the myriad forms of labor and expertise that sustain our human-built world. It aims to bring over 300 people together in Washington D.C. over 3.5 days, to focus on issues related to the maintenance of information technology, transportation systems, software, and labor. Attendees will include software and data industry professionals, entrepreneurs, community managers, policymakers, standards professionals, academics, artists, and students.
We’re seeking partners who are passionate about maintenance, infrastructure, repair, and sustainability. Both general and named sponsorship opportunities are available to support this conference.
Recognition and Access
All sponsors will be recognized on this website and in the conference program. Depending on the nature of the sponsorship, additional recognition may include branding on banners and session placards, mentions at the event opening and closing, and links in our post-event newsletter. Perks of becoming a sponsor vary based on the level of sponsorship, but may include: complementary tickets, tables and/or booth displays, more prominent logos and mentions, and more.
Exclusive named sponsorship opportunities include: conference reception, lunches, coffee breaks, industry track sponsor (select from software, transportation, information, general maintenance). Inquiries about named sponsorship opportunities should be directed to The Maintainers’ Co-Director Andrew Russell via email: andy[at]themaintainers[dot]org.
In addition, sponsors are sought at all levels to subsidize conference programming and support conference services including: student scholarship fund; conference accessibility fund; maternal support and child care for attendees. Conference sponsorship levels include:
Individual sponsorship ($2,000)
Community sponsorship ($4,000)
Industry track sponsorship ($10,000)
General sponsorship ($20,000)
Maintainer sponsorship ($40,000)
We are proud to be supported in part by a generous award from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and look forward to other sponsors showing their support for The Maintainers.
