What are Monthly Maintenance Sessions?

Join The Maintainers for a free, virtual accountability session designed to support you in prioritizing maintenance. Think of it as a study hall, where you set aside dedicated time to focus on maintaining something important in your life or work.

Whether it’s your personal space, work projects, relationships, files, or well-being, these sessions are a supportive, distraction-free space to tackle the maintenance you’ve been putting off.

What to Expect:

  • Choose your focus: Each session is self-guided. Choose what you want to maintain — be it work tasks, personal upkeep, community projects or anything else that needs maintaining.
  • Accountability and Community: You’ll have the opportunity to share what you’ll be working on at the top of the session, and then we’ll all get to maintaining, holding each other accountable in a quiet group environment — implementing the power of “body doubling“.  At the end of the hour, we’ll reconvene to share reflections and wrap up.

How it Works:

  1. Register for the session to receive a calendar invite and Zoom details.
  2. Join us on Zoom at 11:00 AM ET on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
  3. We’ll start with a short introduction and a round of check-ins where you’ll share what you’ll maintain for the session and where you’re calling in from.
  4. Mute & Focus: Then, we’ll all mute our microphones and get to work!
  5. At the end of the session, we’ll come back together for a quick debrief and closing remarks.

Why Join?

Maintenance takes time. Taking time each month to focus on maintenance is one way to begin a maintenance practice in your own life. These sessions provide both the structure and the community support you need to make maintenance a habit, not an afterthought.

For Organizations:

Organizations are welcome to use this time for team maintenance, and are encouraged to designate “maintenance time” within projects at these sessions or otherwise within your workflows.
